is a bit 'I do not write that, I admit, but sometimes the university commitments take over and I have to give in to the studio. But I feel guilty and so I want to go back immediately with a burst of cannon Inglorious Basterds .
When I saw him at the cinema for the first time I was dead tired and lost some parts because of drowsiness. But I got to see it again and I must say that this is another gem of this year 2009 draws to a close.
Tarantino is back with a barrage of quotations, allusions and references. It also distorts history. It is no longer the story we know and we read books, it becomes just what takes place at the time was the most desired: the end of the war and the death of Hitler and all the highest offices of the Reich.
Tarantino's film is also a real bow to the "cinema", the one with a capital. Divided into chapters, as his other films (five in this one) and with a soundtrack that both refers to Morricone, a thousand and one can mix genres as only he is capable of it. And if Grindhouse we were not particularly liked, well, here we have to think again, because the film is a gem of the first order. A riot of color, music, sound and acting. Although the blood is less abundant than his other works, Tarantino manages to keep the attention fixed for over two and a half hours without getting bored. The dialogues are the highlight of this film: exaggerated, and strongly pushed to excess citazionistici would be enjoyed in the original language in order to capture every nuance.
Pitt is still proving a great actor, perfectly characterizing his Aldo , but the mention goes to the main Waltz fantasy that manages to create a cynical and ruthless Colonel, who more than once arouses in the viewer feelings of 'love and hate: perfect.
Tarantino can then get rid of that network of apathy that seems to have imprisoned writers and directors, managing to rewrite history in a film that is an homage to a film class. The section winner is his passion and dedication to the film "pure," which is a fixed and an avid film lover ... in short, a film director who turns out to make art, not just to fill their portfolios: a genius.

Dorian Gray (2009)
Year: 2009
Length: 112
Source: Britain
Color: C
Genre: Drama
From: novel "The Picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde
Production: Ealing Studios, Fragile Films
Warning: 14
Director: Oliver Parke r
We propose that the flight review of this film, seen last night in the room and then fresh memory.
's start by saying that history is not entirely related to the original: crippled characters, invented scenes and re-written ad hoc. There is nothing to do with the strength and power of Wilde's novel and the actors certainly do not enhance the intensity. Barnes appears to be on set for some strange and fortuitous coincidence, and not only that it will also be nice, but similarity with the young Dandy original there is no evidence, either at a physical, nor quell'impressionante seductive charm that the original fetish emanated from every pore.
Note color, in my humble opinion, is the presence of Colin Firth who shows us to be able to play roles more often than in those easy-going manner in which he has used throughout his career.
Thumbs down for the screenplay and film editing: the bad even worse than before and (if possible) the second. I understand the need to adapt a novel to a whole movie of just under two hours, and consequently many cut scenes and adapt others, however, if they had lost less time distorting original characters and situations, and maybe just maybe they would have received a product no longer valid.
For mounting, however, there is no hope zoom abnormal as we have not seen for years, and stop cuts that recall a more than a Hitchcock Godard, given the lack of continuity to link the scenes in some parts of films, too well.
The film also was shot almost always the same three or four places, becoming repetitive after a few minutes of projection.
The film does not come out too bad after all. The photograph has a strong impact and the story itself, you know, always has a huge appeal, especially at a time, like ours, where you can live Dandy is the unconscious desire of each of us.
short, not boring just because we love the original and can appreciate the nuances decadent horror that guide us to purulent portrait rotting in the attic, to un'epilogo we know by heart.
For the rest, it's just another sad (and dismal) attempt to make money brought back a character and a story known, adding unbridled sex, blood and transgression: in short, that to which we are now been used by Hollywood this field exhumations.

District 9 ( 2009)
Year: 2009
Length: 112
Source: U.S.
Color: C
Genre: Sci-Fi
Production: Key Creatives, QED International, Wingnut Films
Prohibited: No
Directed by: Neill Blomkamp
Aliens have landed on earth for over thirty years and have been locked in a ghetto called District 9, located in South Africa. The simple plot of this film, but only in appearance.
I have to say the truth: I went to see him only because I read that name on the poster. Yes, by just that name. A manufacturer usually worth the price of 8 € to see the product.
And I must say that investment never been more appropriate: by far the most valuable film I've seen this year. The newcomer (to the movies, of course) Blomkamp knows how to move and know what to talk about. He has a clear idea and, in fact, nothing is left to chance . He, the special effects wizard, takes us on screen prawns as they are called in the film, that being so technologically advanced and superior, end up living in a Bidonville first class, subject to regular checks by the government and, in the main scenes of the film, a sort of "eviction".
District 9 is a film that is divided between fiction and Apartheid, including special effects and racism, between us and them. As I said before nothing is left to chance and every item finds its proper place. It is thanks to the protagonist that we can find out more about these aliens, their psychology and their being, ultimately, victims. It took the "passage of the fence" to allow the viewer to feel the reasons for prawns, not just those of the population of Johannesburg (again, certainly not chosen at random).
The director just wants to make us understand what is happening every day in the world, but using the metaphor to make alien grip on the viewer. Do not want to divert anyone's attention and that is why, perhaps, that the cast includes big names. Only the stark stage, the protégé of Peter Jackson, who with this film requires hard on the Hollywood scene.
A film that shakes the banality and apathy in which cinema has fallen, that holds you tight as a violin string from beginning to end in a crescendo of action citazionistica (from a Cronemberg Verhoeven) and culminating in the most unexpected ways.
Of note, the interpretation of Sharlto Copley, compelling and exciting, worthy of note are the use of computer graphics: something extraordinary.
short, the film moves, shakes, beats and thought-provoking. It was a long time since I was following a film so compelling, thanks also to the television report execution-style - not very original, perhaps, but certainly not yet in effect and totally abused.
Definitely a piece that will become a classic in the genre. Definitely a movie to watch and to think about. Definitely a piece to have in the collection and that will lay the foundation for many of the next sci-fi .... and meanwhile wait for the next Blomkamp's work to see if it is a passing meteor, or if it can be confirmed.
