Sometimes we are advised that film then we end up not ever see. Well, this is a bad habit I had and I learned to lose after I have been advised that the film now I love passionately.
In this case we have another little gem, another extract of American independent cinema.
Pontypool tells the story of Grant Mazzy (Stephen McHattie, the "Nite Owl I" of the latest Watchmen), a radio speaker that no longer young, when he loses yet another contract, is forced to accept a job at a small radio station in town of Pontypool, the CLSY, Ontario.
During a normal transmission, are reported abnormal acts around at the clinic of a certain Dr. Mendez, and the more time goes by, the left began to report strange happenings at that point, cannibalism, blood everywhere, and quoting his words, "naked people that freaks out and acts like animals."
The search continues for information and three closes in the study - Which is none other than the basement of a church - when it is announced that the town is in a state of quarantine. Within the study of CLSY things seem to be quiet, but really even there the "virus" seems to lie in wait.
No, stop all. I already know what you're thinking and I confirm my answer: "no, stop all". This is no ordinary film about a virus that infects people turning into zombies. This is not the usual horror that we usually see, dull and monotonous.
I must say that at first sight I was pleasantly surprised at the style of direction, very clean, and the performance of the three protagonists - two of which they first appear. But the most interesting this movie is the plot. I think it is brilliant, but maybe all the mediocrity that our country there flapping in my face, I am a miracle too often. Also are not the only one to be impressed, I have heard many positive opinions about it. I would like to avoid spoilers , but in this case I think is inevitable given the nature of the virus is the brilliant thing of all: nothing escaped in laboratory experiments or strange curses the Indian Pet Cemetery. And even the apocalypse or other disasters (Amen?) Similar. Here, the vehicle of death is the "word". That's right, the word, our language, the only thing that distinguishes man from any other creature. The virus is spread through the spoken and the only way to get away from them and try to totally lose the sense of that word that has infected.
bed so it seems absurd, and it probably is, but the film is made so well, that should be seen only for the part of directors. But I repeat myself and say that the best part is the subject, although it is based on a novel.
The film goes through several stages, but still managed to keep a layer of tension that does not unfold even at the end. It is unsettling and affects the viewer in the middle that does not remain satisfied with the film, are sure it will bring back its original long.
Obviously I should have seen this film in English, because Italy has not been distributed or the cinema or home video. Nor did I expect such a thing from our country, obviously.
However prcurarvelo try and watch it as it is, in the original language: it certainly gain in intensity.

Old Boy (2004) Reflections
Year: 2004
Length: 120
Origin: South Korea
Color: C
Genre: Action , Thriller
From: comic Nobuaki Minegishi
Production: Young Joo Suh for Show East, Eggfilms
Prohibited: No
Director: Park Chan-Wook
Old Boy tells the story of Oh Dae-Su, an ordinary man who lives with his wife and daughter.
One day in 1988 he was abducted for no apparent reason, and confined in an apartment. Only a television to keep him company that announced the death of his wife ... and he is the only suspect! The shock that overwhelms him is immense, from the moment they manage to get out of his prison, he will think only in revenge.
Yes, I admit, the Cameron toy I'm tired. It is so "plastic" in my heart has already left the time it has found. Also because all that budget, and those expectations quell'hype die before the movie as a pearl in I am going to talk to you.
We are faced with a film that really made me cry out to the masterpiece.
When he came out, I was not very motivated to watch it. Of course, having won the Grand Prix of the Jury Prize at Cannes, not cheap, especially if the president was a Tarantino, but despite this, not one that you get the money.
Then I saw him and abandoned, perhaps because of my immature film culture, but recently I have recovered and look at them in more "adult", well, it proved quite different.
Old Boy is a film angry, bloody and noir. It is an uncompromising film that takes the audience on tenterhooks until the last. And the last part of a film plot twist that left me with his mouth open for ten minutes abundant.
One of those films that you do not expect these to be until you look at it. A pearl, a delicate thoughts and memories, bitterness and anger.
Claustrophobic beyond all limits, along with good reach madness Oh Dae-Su, with no escape. It will try several times greasy, and many times we happen to be in suspense about his fate. Each new scene that takes place in that apartment gives us a new question that makes us think, "Why?".
The story is original and although it from a balloon, is expanded and is given an answer: the implication that it will take incredible.
A film that leaves stucco, made with only the pretense of making pure art, and not with the purpose of base money. A piece that copyright should not be run, along with other parts of the trilogy, "Revenge" (Mr. Vengeance and Lady Vengeance 2002, 2005).

How Much Will I Receive From California Wic?
I covered every single thing I wrote on my blog and I must say that I'm not too happy.
I got to watch many films lately, including one study to another, and many of them were the ones that are usually called "art films". Now I am not an expert nor a peak in this area - although I fervently hopes to become - but I realized that I have not analyzed so far with the film due objectivity. I left too much to carry and this is not fair to the reader nor consistent with the goal I set for myself.
I gave too much about films and mediocre films I've seen lately I have confirmed. That said I just wanted to tell readers that as of today mylifein35mm changes direction, returning to the track of an objective analysis and objective, which is not contaminated by my opinion or at least it appears that his review "honest" regardless by my personal tastes.
Greetings.
